Download the Merit Medical OEM Capabilities brochure to find out more.Insert and Injection Molding Merit has four insert molding and 39 injection molding machines in a state-of-the-art molding facility located on its Utah campus. The molding facility is housed in a 140,000 square foot facility that also includes an automated finished goods warehouse and office space for our IT group. Merit runs and maintains 250 molds that produce parts for its own finished devices and those of its hundreds of OEM customers. UV and Solvent Bonding Merit has developed expertise in UV and solvent bonding and currently bonds many different plastics, including ABS, polycarbonate, PVC, Acrylic, Polypropylene and Propionate. Pad Printing Merit uses pad printing on syringes, catheters, and needle hubs. Merit uses this capability to private-label many of its OEM products. Packaging Engineering Merit employs a Packaging Engineering group and can offer many packaging options to meet the varying needs of our customers. Medical Coatings Merit has experience with several lubricating coatings and hydrophilic coatings. Merit also owns MCTec, a world lead in coatings for the medical industry. Electronic Device Assembly Merit developed a digital inflation device, the Monarch®, and also developed a pressure transducer, the MeriTrans®. Both of these products require the assembly of electronic devices. Pressure Sensors Merit also produces its own pressure sensors in a facility at its Utah headquarters. Merit Sensor Systems products are used in the medical industry, as well as the automotive, industrial, and aviation industries. Clean Room Assembly: Manual and Automated Merit has over 150,000 square feet of clean room space. Other capabilities include Excimer Laser Drilling, RF Welding, RF Tipping, Swaging and Marker Banding, and Ultrasonic Welding. |
