Coated Guide Wire Components
The Merit proprietary spool-to-spool coating process results in smooth, uniform coated wire components (coiling/core wire) for the production of guide wires.
Merit's unique process of coating wire prior to coiling, results in a consistency not achieved in conventional spray-coated guide wires, which ultimately prevents cracking as is often encountered.
Merit is able to guarantee a consistent diameter and tight tolerances. Coated core wire can be supplied dead-straight. Round or flat stainless steel wire can be coated either with PTFE or a hydrophilic coating resulting in one-to-one torque. The LubriSkin™ coating acts like a lubricant during the coiling process, so there is no need for additional oils under the right process conditions.
Coated wire is available in a variety of materials, various color options, different diameters and can be supplied spooled, cut to length or coiled.
